01. BETA SOFTWARE

ACTIVELY IMPROVING

Mate is currently in beta phase, which means we're actively working to improve and refine the app. While we strive to provide a reliable financial companion, please note that the App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Please Be Mindful:

Regular backups are recommended for data safety

02. NO FINANCIAL ADVICE

Mate is a financial tracking and awareness tool designed to help you understand your finances better. However, it does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

The calculations, budget tracking, and "What If?" scenarios are for informational purposes only. You are responsible for your own financial decisions and should consult qualified professionals for personalized advice.

03. DATA RESPONSIBILITY

IMPORTANT

Mate is an offline-first application. All of your financial data is stored exclusively on your device, giving you complete control and privacy.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Regularly backing up your data using the Export Data feature

Securing your device with passcode, Face ID, or fingerprint

Understanding that deleted data cannot be recovered

Making your own informed financial decisions

DATA BACKUP REMINDER

If your device is lost, damaged, or if you delete the app without a backup, your data cannot be recovered. We have no access to your data and no way to restore it for you. Please use the Export Data feature regularly.

APP LOCK SECURITY

The App Lock feature uses your device's native security (Passcode, Face ID, Fingerprint). Please ensure your device is properly secured. We cannot be held liable for unauthorized access resulting from a compromised device.

04. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Mate (Byontriq) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or revenues, resulting from:

a)Your use of or inability to use the App

b)Any technical issues or software errors

c)Data loss due to device failure or app deletion

05. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will notify you within the App.

Continuing to use the App after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
